What is the maximum occupancy?
Pelican's Landing has a maximum occupancy of 10 (ie overnight stay). However, Pelican's Landing rental is a
partial week rental with a minimum of two-night stay. Additional nights are available at $500.00 per night (in-season)
with weekly rental rates also available. There are 5 bedrooms with 2 king beds and 3 queen beds.
What do we do if it rains?
Most people want to be outside to enjoy the outdoors because its the OBX. The event tent is meant to provide shelter
even in the worst of weather conditions, from downpours to wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour. Typically, if we knew
the weather was going to be inclement about a week out, we would arrange to add more tent sides to provide more
shelter. Having a beach wedding lends itself to a myriad of weather conditions from sun, wind and rain and not always
an ideal amount of each. We've experienced it all and know how to plan accordingly to ensure the best possible outcome

Can I have my rehearsal dinner at Pelican's Landing?
Yes, the large deck on the 2nd floor is perfect for hosting a formal to informal dinner for 50. If you plan to have an event
tent on the lawn, then the day before the wedding is typically when this is set up. We can coordinate together so that
you can host a rehearsal - welcome event on the lawn. There is no extra venue charge for this.
Can I provide my own decoration?
Many couples provide part, if not all, of their own decorations from flowers to lights and lanterns. Its wonderful to see
family and friends work together to make your special day even more special. Pelican's Landing has acquired quite a
few items over time from candy jars, shepherds hooks, tiki torches and votives. Many of these items are available at
no additional charge. We want your event to be the best it can be and love to help where we can.
At the same time, decorating for your wedding is a BIG job even for the most experienced. You may need tools and
equipment like tall ladders and extension cords. If you really want to enjoy your day before your wedding and keep it
stress-free, hire a local professional who knows what's entailed in decorating for a wedding and is prepared to
troubleshoot, as necessary. We can refer you to a professional to fit your needs.
What are some of the neighboring weekly rentals?
The Whalehead community in Corolla where Pelican's Landing is located, has hundreds of homes with several

What party rentals are not included in the rental rate that I may need?
If your guest count is larger than 50 people, you will need an event tent for the lawn area. You will also need to rent
chairs and linens. If you need an event tent, you may need tent accessories such as tent lighting. We're happy to help
you determine your layout and handle all of additional party rental needs, if you prefer.
When is check-in and check-out?
Pelican's Landing's check-in is at 2:00 pm, with check-out on the 3rd day by 9:00 am. However, we're often flexible
depending on whether or not another check-in is scheduled. Also, we take care of set-up and break down of party
rentals. You're responsible for your belongings and decorations you provided.
Why is Pelican's Landing a partial week rental?
Simply stated, many couples want an oceanfront wedding venue but not the typical oceanfront vacation rental rate.
Pelican's Landing as a partial week rental enables you to enjoy your vacation and your special event with ease
by offering flexible rental dates whether you plan to be in town for an extended weekend or a week or more long. Want to
stay the week? No problem. Call about additional night rates.
In addition, Pelican's Landing is designed and has amenities for special events. Remember, you'll most likely need
party rentals for your special event and Pelican's Landing includes many of these items and provides a smart solution
for set-up and break down. Pelican's Landing's rates are very competitive to other special event rental cottages when
the non-refundable special event fee that other cottages charge is taken into consideration.

Are pets allowed?
Pelican's Landing may allow pets on a case by case situation. A separate non-refundable pet deposit per pet will apply.
Call us to review your particular situation. Allowing other's pets on the property or bringing your pet to the property
will incur a non-refundable pet deposit. In any case, you are responsible to pick up after your pet throughout the rental
period.
Is there a reduced rate for smaller groups?
Pelican's Landing is 5,000 square feet large on a half acre lot, all oceanfront with a rental rate that is very competitive
whether your group is large or small. Depending on the time of year, Pelican's Landing has rates for smaller groups
with and without party rentals. Email us for availability and details.
How do I book this house?
Call 252-489-3172 to start the process of checking availability and requesting a rental agreement for your specified dates.
50% of the base rent is due along with a signed rental agreement to book this house. There's a refundable security
deposit of $1,500.00 that is due 30 days prior to check-in. Security deposits are refunded up to 45 days after check-out.
Taxes apply. Trip cancellation insurance is available and recommended.
Does the house come with linens?
Yes, linens for all beds and 2 bath towels per bedroom are provided. Linens are to be pulled and gathered on
the floor at check-out. Renters are to provide all toiletries, detergents, paper towels and toilet paper. Some of these
items may be provided as a courtesy.
Does Coastal Provisions Market have to cater my wedding and is there a food & beverage
minimum?

Where can guests park?
One block north of Pelican's Landing is the cross street of Bonito St, where a large parking lot easily accomodates 50
vehicles. Guest drop-off can easily be preplanned, as can valet parking, and now six-passenger golf carts are
available to rent for the day to shuttle drivers between the house and the parking lot. Parking on the street is not permitted.
